How We Do It
Wheeling Towards Change uses its volunteer team for outreach to collect used medical equipment. The collected equipment is them given out to people who otherwise will not be not be able to afford these items because either they are uninsured or underinsured.

Why It Matters
There is tremendous demand for free durable medical equipment as well as significant supply. The average piece of DME has a usable life span of 5+ years but is used for only four months. Access to free DME will provide mobility and quality of life for individuals and their families . The ability to easily donate lightly used DME will save society hundreds of millions of dollars and will keep over time, billions of pounds of DME out of landfills.
